Our Mission
Veda Rakshana Samithi is dedicated to preserving and propagating Vedic knowledge through structured education and rigorous training in traditional recitation and rituals.
Our Founder
Dr. C. R. Swaminathan, a revered scholar, envisioned a space for the next generation to learn the Vedas in their purest form. With support from like-minded individuals and blessings from the Sankaracharyas of Kanchi and Sringeri, he established a full-time residential Veda Pathasala in 1996 at Chathapuram, Kalpathi, which has now evolved into a “Global Vedic Village.”

For centuries, South India has been a center for Vedic and shastric learning, with Tamil Brahmana agraharams serving as open universities producing scholars and philosophers of great merit. Palakkad, with its rich Vedic heritage, has contributed significantly to this tradition.
